DON'T GET RED CARDED DURING THE WORLD CUP

⚽ With #WorldCup2026 finally getting underway for England this evening we'd like to ensure that a football match is the only thing that kicks off…

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 We want the people of #Tamworth to enjoy the tournament in the right spirit and hopefully cheer England (or whoever you're supporting) into the final on 19th July. 

🟥 Don't get yourself a red card... We know that passions can run high during the footy and combined with excessive alcohol consumption this can lead to anti-social behaviour, violent disorder and domestic abuse. This sort of behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. 

🚕 We would also urge anyone planning on 'having a few jars' makes sure they leave their car keys at home and makes alternative travel plans. And to those of you who are being the designated drivers... we salute you! 

👮🏼‍♂️ Together with our partner agencies, we will maintain a visible and reassuring presence in an effort to prevent such incidents and deal with any disorder & crime that occurs.
